Today I was jumping from subject to subject today/this evening. I don't remember my exact path I took to get there but some how I ended up at the MCSE books at Amazon. I thought about it quite a while and at one point I was going to just go down to Borders and buy it in person so I'd have it before I lost my nerve on spending so much. Then I saw that Amazon had what I was looking at for $130 versus the Borders $200. What I'm really thinking of is the microsoft press multi-book pack of "core" books. I got those along with a couple of extas for $200. And that's with no tax and free shipping. So yes, I saved by going with amazon in place of borders. Even if I do have to wait a while to get it.

I have that PHP/MySQL book to go through still anyway so wating I'm not actually complainging about the waitng. I also don't actually have any ROOM for all these books coming in. I already am lacking room I don't know what I'll do with all these new books.

Of course what I was supposed to be doing today was finishing the re-install disk for my sister's father in law. I've had a whole a week to work on it and have done very little. I was starting to make progress when I some how got distracted on wanting an MCSE.

Oh I remember: I founda job ad that wanted no an MCSE but a MCDTP or something like that "in XP". I can only assume this is some kind of desktop certification or desktop support or whatever. I'm still a little confused on all the options and everything to getting either the desktop thing or an MCSE. So I searched the initials mentioned in the job ad, which led to some XP certification which lead to the MCSE/MCSA tracks/options.

That explanation won't pass the test when my sister calls me tomorrow and asks if her father in laws PC is done though. Even if she knew what it meant it still wouldn't pass.

So tomorrow I'll have to get "really serious" about finishing that desktop although I probably still won't be done even tomorrow. Perhaps I put in some details of how I did it.

I was rather obsessed with silent installing Windows/updates/associated software for several months ya see. Not sure I really want to go back to it as I will probably sleep and breath it 24/7 for who knows how long if I do go back to it. Which in some ways wouldn't be so bad since I'd be that much more prepared for an interview but on the other hand I may not finish other stuff I would like to finish.

Since it's already late I think I'll stop now.
